Happy March! We have been enjoying a busy and energetic spring here at The Common Place Orchestra.
Our Saturday orchestra rehearsals have been very well attended, and we continue to see new faces each week. We recently welcomed Chef Jason as a part of our team, and he has done a wonderful job of preparing delicious, healthy breakfasts for the students before each rehearsal. The students love his culinary creations, as you can see from the picture above!
Our beginner students have been busy mastering the fundamentals of orchestral playing: proper playing position, good tone, note-reading, listening, and most importantly, teamwork! The older students are working on several pieces including Ode to Joy, In The Hall of the Mountain King, and the theme from Mission Impossible (a fun challenge for all!).
We are looking forward to our performance at The Common Worship Experience at TCP on May 14th @ 1:30 PM, and we hope to see you there!
