TCPS: Happy Black History Month!

We kicked off Black History Month by learning about Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The scholars have chosen to learn about Black education, sports, music, and art!

Our Social-Emotional Theme is Problem Solving. The scholars have learned constructive approaches to resolving conflict. The unit focuses on conflict resolution steps that help facilitate healthy relationships. In financial literacy, we have been learning about budgeting. The scholars have been practicing making their own budgets using different scenarios.

Also, We would like to welcome our new specialists! Ms. Jam teaches nutrition! Ms. Adrianne teaches fitness instruction! And Chef Jason teaches cooking! The scholars have been so excited to finish their homework and work with our talented specialist! Lastly, thank you to John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge! Our rangers facilitated an indoor scavenger hunt for the scholars! The scholars enjoyed every minute!

Until next month,

Miss Lex & The scholars
