Happy Fall!
The Common Place Orchestra is off to a busy and energetic start to the school year. We are now entering our third week of lessons at Cornerstone Christian Academy and The Common Place Scholars After School Enrichment Program. Our students are quickly adjusting to the routine of balancing school work, lessons, and practicing (and free time, of course!) after the summer months. We currently have 50 students taking weekly private lessons, and new registrations and inquiries are flowing in each day!
Our orchestra rehearsals will begin on October 1st, and we are pleased to announce that the fabulously creative Chef Tasharra will be preparing our famous pre-rehearsal breakfasts this year! Repertoire and performance plans are underway now, and we will look forward to making those announcements in the coming weeks.
We are in need of violins, violas, cellos, extra strings, supplies, etc. If you or someone you know would like to donate an instrument that is no longer in use, we will very gladly accept it and will be happy to provide a receipt for your taxes. We are so excited to make music with all of our talented students, and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing things they will learn and accomplish this year.
