The Common Place Orchestra has had an exciting fall! We have had a record number of new registrations and are currently working with sixty-two students from The Common Place Scholars After School Program, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and a few other local schools.
Our Saturday morning orchestra rehearsals (with breakfast!) are going well, and we continue to see new faces each week. Our students are preparing Silent Night and Jingle Bells for our performance at The Common Worship Experience on December 19th. We welcome all levels to our orchestra rehearsals, and it has been a true joy for us to witness our older students become leaders in the ensemble and help our beginners become strong musicians.
We are also pleased to report that will be resuming our programming at Mitchell Elementary in the spring of 2022 – nearly two years since the pandemic forced us to put our program there on hold! We are very excited to rebuild our relationship there, and we are so grateful for the support of the Mitchell team as well as the administrators, teachers, and volunteers at all of our partner organizations. Teamwork truly does make the dream work!
