Happy New Year!
After two fun Christmas performances and a long, restful break, The Common Place Orchestra students are back to work and are taking advantage of this time to establish goals and refresh their practice routines in preparation for the long spring semester ahead. Our resolutions for this month are to get back to fundamentals: review proper bow hold and posture, conduct regular scale and etude reviews, further our playing technique, and strengthen our teamwork and ensemble etiquette. The photo above features one of our talented fourth graders demonstrating her skills to Dr. Joe in an impromptu performance review. Good work!
Looking ahead, we are excited to resume our Saturday orchestra rehearsals at the end of January to prepare for our spring performances. Stay tuned for more information!
