Writing grants is no easy task – but our Development Office has taken this summer by storm. We strive to supplement the generosity of our individual and church donors with government and foundation grants, shoring up The Common Place for future security and expanding the number and level of programs we can offer! Here are just a few of the projects our team has won:
City of Philadelphia Community Champions Grant (June) – awarded to support grassroots nonprofit organizations and individuals that have served vulnerable Philadelphians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
City of Philadelphia Activities Fund Grant for District 3 (July) – awarded for the Southwest Arts & Technology Camp’s promotion of sportsmanship, dance, art and health.
Philadelphia Presbytery (July) – Starting in 2023, The Common Place will officially be recognized as supported ministry of the Presbytery.
Philadelphia Presbytery Covenant Fund (August) – awarded for the expansion of the Open Air Produce Market, including the installation of professional grade walk-in refrigeration system.
Compass Philadelphia Classic Nonprofit Client (August) – COMPASS has chosen TCP to receive free consulting services as we reimagine the possibilities for our Board of Directors.
Pray for our continued success as we build relationships that will benefit both The Common Place and the generous partners with whom we do ministry! Together, this sacred space where we do life together can flourish and offer the spirit of hope to all who enter our doors.
