On Saturday, January 13, we held a Holy Rest Morning at The Common Place. Holy Rest Mornings are half-day retreats offered for the women of southwest Philadelphia. We had a record 80 women in attendance! We borrowed a canvas labyrinth from St. David’s Episcopal Church which we set up in the Greenway. It was a beautiful morning with time for sharing, praying, walking the labyrinth, quiet reflecting, journaling, and creating with the two art projects available. We finished our time together with lunch and a time for fellowship.
Our next Holy Rest Morning will be on Saturday, April 20, at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge on Lindbergh Boulevard. As part of The Common Place’s 10th Anniversary Weekend, this Holy Rest Morning promises to be a beautiful experience of worshiping God and experiencing God in the beautiful surroundings of the Wildlife Refuge. All women are welcome and encouraged to join us!
