Gardening with the Scholars

April showers bring May flowers! The scholars have been working hard to help the gardener with gardening work outside at least once a week. Gardening is a special that was added with the help of Ms. Kiara, who teaches scholars the art of maintaining a healthy growing garden. TCP is growing plenty of hearty vegetables such as lettuce, collard greens, carrots, potatoes, and so much more!

This month we also have been working on social and emotional skills. The scholars have been learning to express and be mindful of their friend’s feelings. They have been working on scenarios and positive solutions. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) helps students develop self-awareness and interpersonal skills to benefit them for a lifetime.

This month, we are informing parents and families about our fantastic summer camp, the SouthWest Arts & Technology Camp. There will be fun activities, weekly Friday trips, games, and entertainment. Register today!
