Buff is a Spiritual Director who has been offering group and individual spiritual direction since 2006 at Wayne Presbyterian Church and also at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Her spiritual direction ministry began at The Common Place in 2013. She received spiritual direction training from Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development and has a Masters Degree in Holistic Spirituality and Spiritual Direction from Chestnut Hill College. At The Common Place, Buff volunteers with The Common Place Scholars after school. In addition to offering spiritual direction to individuals, for the past nine years, she and her sister, Fran Thayer, also a spiritual director, have been offering Holy Rest Mornings of retreat to the women of southwest Philadelphia. These times of retreat happen three times each year. In the winter, the retreat is held at The Common Place with a labyrinth as the prayer experience. These mornings of Holy Rest are a sacred time of prayer, reflection and fellowship for the women who attend. Buff lives in Wayne with her husband. They have four grown children and six amazing grandchildren.
