Women from southwest Philadelphia gathered at Bartram’s Garden for the fall Holy Rest morning. It was a blessed and beautiful day!
We considered those things in our lives that distract us from paying attention to God and brought them to God with prayers that each woman wrote.
We spent the second half of the morning in silence walking and sitting on the benches in the garden. Some women chose to pray through art and experienced God through the watercolors that were available or the coloring sheets. Our closing time of “gathering the graces” of the morning was a time of deep connection and fellowship together.
Our next Holy Rest morning will be on January 26 at The Common Place from 9:30 am -1:00 pm. All women of southwest Philadelphia are invited!
We will have a canvas labyrinth set up in the Greenway. We will learn about and enter into the prayer experience of walking the labyrinth. There will be time for personal prayer, art activities, silence, and fellowship … all of which combine for a sacred morning of Holy Rest!
