Dear Common Place Friends and Family,
It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that Aisha Brooks-Lytle, Organizing Pastor of The Common Place, has taken a position to serve as the Executive Presbyter of the Greater Atlanta Presbytery. While I am happy that Aisha will be expanding her horizons to serve God, I am sad to lose one with whom I’ve worked closely over the past four years to develop The Common Place. Aisha’s deep faith, jubilant personality, beautiful voice and powerful preaching have been a driving force in TCP’s growth. We will miss Pastor Aisha greatly.
As TCP moves forward, Pastor Chris Holland (New Spirit Community Church) and Pastor Cean James (Grace Christian Fellowship Church) will continue to work closely with the TCP management team to provide pastoral guidance and support. On Sunday, December 17th at 5:00 PM, we will be holding our Christmas “cantata” as our December Common Worship Experience service. Our Common Meal will be served after worship. At this time of Christmas worship and celebration, we will also say our goodbyes to Aisha. Please attend and join me in wishing “Pastor Eesh” a warm farewell and prayers for her future.
I see God’s work in all change and know that he is involved in closing this chapter in the ongoing journey of The Common Place. Only He knows what lies ahead and His mystery is awesome.
Peace and joy!
